LET`S GET TO WORK

We can only win together.

WE MUST TAKE ACTION

The effects of climate change are being felt on all continents across the world and are predicted to become more frequent and more intense in the coming decades. There are endless man-made & natural threats, that have a negative effect on our planets health.
It is extremely important, that it becomes common knowledge, to be aware of the threats our planet faces, as well as what we can do indivudually, to help preserve & restore our planets health. While it is still within our grasp.

Humanity must come together to tackle these threats & reduce synthetic production, waste, plastic pollution, etc. We must normalize sustainability & spread the message.

There are many ways to contribute to help preserve our planet & our eco-systems. To form partnerships with other sustainable organizations, is a great way to ensure growth. We only connect with companies who share the same values & efforts as us. Sustainability is the common goal.

The
Healthy seas

Healthy Seas is an environmental organisation that was established with the aim to remove waste from the seas, in particular fishing nets, for the purpose of creating healthier seas and recycling marine litter into textile products.

The fishing nets they recover will be regenerated and transformed, together with other nylon waste, by Aquafill into ECONYL® yarn, which is the primary material our products are made from.

Since 2013 Healthy seas has been fighting for a cleaner ocean. They currently work in all of the following regions; The North sea, Medeteranian sea, The Adriatic sea, The Red sea, The Baltic sea & The Pacific ocean. Healthy seas work with over 250 volunteer divers and 1250 fishermen and fish farmers.

The
3 pillars

Founded on the principles of circular economy, Healthy Seas champions the three pillars of sustainability and strives to make a positive and long-lasting impact to the marine environment, as well as the development of society, through education and raising awareness.

Healthy Seas marine protection work is made up of 3 pillars:

1. Sea Cleanups with divers.

2. Prevention work with fishermen.

3. Education programmes.

Cleanups

Volunteer technical divers from all over Europe and beyond have joined our mission, carrying out cleanups as often as almost every weekend! Even a single net that is removed can have significant impact because it prevents cases of animals being trapped in the future. Once an animal is caught in a net, it attracts predators that also get entangled and this leads to what we call the cycle of death. Ghost nets are the deadliest form of marine plastic pollution.

Prevention

Healthy Seas works with a growing number of fishermen and fish farms to prevent that end-of-life nets end up in a landfill, or worse, the sea. It is recognized that no fisher ever wants to lose gear, as gear loss has an economic cost, both immediate and future. Fishing gear is mostly lost due to bad weather, snags beneath the surface or interactions with other deployed gear.

Education

Healthy Seasfocuses very much on education, engaging school children and adults inactivities to promote marine protection and circular economy. Each year, we carry out moreand more programmes in many countries in Europe, striving to make a positive and long-lasting impact to the marine environment, as well as the development of society.

2021
Activity Results

Healthy seas worked with over 250 volunteer divers and 1250 fishermen and fish farmers in 2021. Their amazing team-work, resulted in recovering 188,500 kgs of fishing nets & other waste materials from our oceans.

Healthy seas got 1870 school children engaged in the journey from waste to wear. They consistantly educate & inspire the younger generations within sustainability.

Since they started in 2013, together with divers and fishermen, they have collected over 773,000 kilos of nets and other debris from the seas and oceans. Many marine animals have been rescued and many cases of trapped animals have been prevented.

Camsea
Donating partner

Camsea is taking action by becoming a Healthy Seas partner. 1% of our annual turnover is donated to Healthy Seas. Through our donations, we actively contribute to their success and efforts to the preservation of the world's oceans.

We work together for cleaner seas, wildlife protection, the recycling of valuable resources & education within sustainability.

At the same time, membership ensures that we stay focused & true to our mission to clean the world's oceans of plastic. We take pride in our commitment to the goal of a healthier planet. Sustainability is the common goal.

Reforestation

Company
Packhelp

Trees and forests are essential for a healthy planet. They clean our air and water, create habitat for wildlife, and sequester carbon. Global reforestation also creates a wealth of economic and social benefits.

Our partnership with Packhelp has made Camsea "tree-positive", due to us joining their reforestation project. Packhelp teamed up with One Tree Planted to make our planet greener. Based on the amount of orders we get, packhelp calculates the number of trees we plant. We always give back, more than we take from our dear planet.

We contribute to plating trees around the world to support healthy forests, biodiversity, & local communities.
